There can be few finer office locations than ours, Fairoaks Airport is the sort of place that would be used as the setting for a period drama, It’s easy to imagine Poirot disembarking elegantly from a Douglas DC-3, Inspector Foyle apprehending a smuggler as he attempts a getaway across the apron or Reagan & Carter tearing up the runway in their ‘Sweeney’ Granada.

Since the early 1930’s, Fairoaks has been used as an airport and whilst the future of this wonderful place is far from certain, we would not rather be anywhere else.

Those of you that have visited our offices will know that the undisputed star of the H2i show is Socks, 15 kilos of fluff and energy, a monochrome blur designed to wag his tail and eat gravy-bones.

Socks keeps us all grounded, not least with his ever willing attitude to ‘walkies’ and there is nothing quite like a ten-minute stroll ‘round the back to clear the head after a long morning of detailed insurance brokering.

If we are very lucky we will find a little bit of extra time to visit The Hangar Café, home of the best full-English in the area, a wonderful cup of tea and best of all for Socks, a seemingly unending supply of doggie treats. Sitting outside the café, with a contented dog at your feet, mug of tea in hand and watching planes of all sizes take-off and land…morning’s do not get much better than this.

So, if you fancy meeting Socks or having a brew in the café, why not give us a call and we can talk insurance, or just watch the ‘planes for a bit.
