Hobbies:

I enjoy walking, cooking, meeting with friends and family especially my 4 year old grand daughter, who keeps me busy and young at heart (I know I don’t look old enough).

Why Insurance:

I was told by my mum at the age of 16 to get a job and here I am 29 years later still doing a job I love.

What do you do best:

I am very much a people person; I get along with anyone.

Favourite Music:

I can’t tell you as you will laugh at me, but it has links to my East End roots.

Best part of your job:

Directing clients to have to have the correct cover and getting to know them and their business activities. Listening to their problems and help solving them gives me great job satisfaction.

Jo started her insurance career in a small family brokerage in Godalming when she was 16. Then over the years the company was acquired by a larger corporate broker. She started as an office junior and quickly worked her way to a senior account handler managing a team of her own. Jo was made redundant during covid after 27 years of service. She took a 6 month break from insurance and worked as a support worker with adults who have severe epilepsy. Although Jo loved this job, insurance is her passion and she quickly returned to the industry.

Jo is now settled in at H2i where she has been since May 2021 and she is a real asset to the team.
